President Bola Tinubu on Saturday praised the resilience, brilliance, and vital contributions of Nigerian women in a message marking the 2025 International Women’s Day.
Describing them as the foundation of the nation, he acknowledged their role in driving progress across homes, farms, boardrooms, and communities. However, he noted that even three decades after the Beijing Declaration, many women still face challenges that limit their potential.
Reaffirming his administration’s commitment to gender equality, Tinubu emphasized efforts to remove barriers, expand financial access, and create equal opportunities in governance, agriculture, and other sectors.
“To our mothers, daughters, sisters – your strength fuels Nigeria’s future. Together, we rise!” he wrote.
