The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has announced plans to prosecute two women arrested for allegedly hawking naira notes in Lagos.

In a statement on Monday, the agency confirmed the arrest of Adeoti Folake and Adewuyi Modupe by operatives from its Lagos Directorate 1 on Friday, March 21, 2025.

According to the EFCC, the suspects were found in possession of N3,850,000 and N1,600,000, respectively.

The commission stated that investigations are ongoing and that the suspects will be charged to court upon completion of the process.
