Former Vice President and Peoples Democratic Party presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, along with other notable political figures, visited former President Muhammadu Buhari at his residence in Kaduna.
Among those present were former Kaduna State Governor Nasir El-Rufai, former Sokoto State Governor Aminu Tambuwal, former Minister of Communications Isa Pantami, former Imo State Governor Achike Udenwa, former Benue State Governor Gabriel Suswam, and former Adamawa State Governor Jibrilla Bindow.
A video of the visit surfaced on social media platform X, while Atiku also confirmed the visit on his verified handle.
He described the meeting as a pleasant post-Sallah interaction, stating, “It was a wonderful time with him.
As usual, he cracked me up (to the extent that my ribs were hurting) with his peculiar humour.”
Atiku mentioned that he had earlier participated in Sallah celebrations in Adamawa, standing in for the Lamido Fombina.
He noted that Friday’s visit to Buhari was a post-Sallah courtesy call.
However, no specific details about the purpose or outcome of the meeting were disclosed.
