Three members of the House of Representatives from Katsina State have officially switched their allegiance from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Their defection was announced during Thursday’s plenary session at the National Assembly in Abuja, and was formally acknowledged by Speaker Tajudeen Abbas.
The lawmakers attributed their decision to internal conflicts and unresolved issues within the PDP, which they said have hindered their ability to effectively represent their constituents and support stable governance.
This development is seen as a boost for the APC, further strengthening its influence in Katsina State and beyond.
Katsina State Governor Dikko Umar Radda was present in the House chamber to witness the announcement and show support for the defecting lawmakers.
