A 39-year-old filling station attendant, Tope Solaro, was on Thursday brought before the Iyaganku Magistrates’ Court in Ibadan, Oyo State, for allegedly stealing N630,334.

Solaro, who was charged with theft, pleaded not guilty to the allegation.

According to the prosecutor, Kehinde Olarotimi, the offence occurred on May 11 around 11:00 p.m. at Mobile Filling Station, located along Ring Road, Ibadan.

He alleged that Solaro, in his capacity as an attendant, stole the said amount belonging to the company.

Olarotimi stated that the act contravened Section 390(9) of the Criminal Laws of Oyo State, 2000.

Presiding Magistrate Adebola Adeola granted the defendant bail in the sum of N200,000, with two sureties in the same amount.

She directed that one surety must be a blood relative and the other a cleric.

The case was adjourned until June 30 for hearing.
