The brief swearing-in ceremony took place at the Presidential Villa in Abuja.

Among those inaugurated were Ahmadu Kida, the board’s Non-Executive Chairman, and Bashir Ojulari, the Group Chief Executive Officer of NNPCL.

Following the ceremony, President Tinubu proceeded to attend the All Progressives Congress (APC) National Summit at the State House Banquet Hall.

The 11-member board features regional representation across the country.

Members include Adedapo Segun and Bello Rabiu (North West); Yusuf Usman (North East); and Babs Omotowa, former Managing Director of Nigeria Liquefied Natural Gas, representing the North Central.

Other appointees are Austin Avuru (South-South), David Ige (South-West), and Henry Obih (South-East).

Lydia Jafiya, the Permanent Secretary at the Federal Ministry of Finance, will represent the ministry on the board, while Aminu Ahmed will serve as the representative of the Ministry of Petroleum Resources.

Key government officials present at the ceremony included Minister of Finance and Coordinating Minister of the Economy, Wale Edun; Minister of Information and National Orientation, Mohammed Idris; and Minister of State for Petroleum (Oil), Heineken Lokpobiri.
