The Edo State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has announced the appointment of Sylvester Aigboboh as Acting Deputy State Chairman and Pedro Esangbedo as Acting Vice Chairman for Edo Central Senatorial District.
The appointments were confirmed in a statement released on Sunday, signed by the Acting State Chairman, Jarret Tenebe, and the State Secretary, Lawrence Okah.
The appointments take immediate effect.
The leadership changes follow Tenebe’s elevation from Deputy State Chairman to State Chairman, as well as the recent defection of Francis Inegbeniki, the former Vice Chairman for Edo Central, to the Peoples Democratic Party.
According to the statement, Aigboboh and Esangbedo will serve in an acting capacity until the party’s next state congress.
“In line with the APC constitution and to maintain effective party operations, it became necessary to fill these roles with individuals of proven integrity and character,” the statement said.
The new appointees are expected to work closely with State Chairman Emperor Jaret Tenebe and the rest of the executive to ensure strong leadership as preparations begin for the 2027 general elections.
