The Nasarawa State House of Assembly has screened and confirmed 17 out of the 18 nominees submitted by Governor Abdullahi Sule for appointment as administrators of the Area Administrative Councils across the state.

The confirmation took place during Monday’s plenary session in Lafia, the state capital, where Speaker Danladi Jatau presided over the proceedings. The Speaker announced the successful confirmation of the 17 nominees after they appeared before the House for screening.

However, the confirmation of Bashir Zubairu, nominated for the Farin Ruwa Area Administrative Council, was put on hold.

Jatau explained that the decision was made to allow the House to further review the nomination and other related issues.

Congratulating the confirmed administrators, the Speaker urged them to uphold integrity and accountability in their duties once they are officially sworn in by the governor.

The confirmed administrators include:

Hashimu Jada (Azara)

Yakubu Bala (Uke/Karahi)

Prof. Rabo Dakare (Panda)

Jeremiah Ishaleku (Lafia East)

Nasiru Akanza (Lafia North)

Jibrin Maiwada (Gadabuke)

Shuaibu Jibrin (Daddare)

David Ayele (Jenkwe)

Yunusa Adamu-Amwe (Akwanga West)

Abdullahi Agu-Envulanza (Agidi)

Solomon Omaku (Giza)

Dr. Adigizi Garba (Akun)

Shuaibu Umar (Loko)

Yahaya Owuna (Udege)

Abubakar Jibrin (Ekye)

Salihu Kasim-Hasheem (Umaisha)

Elisha Dogo (Agwada)

Speaker Jatau instructed the Clerk of the House to formally notify the governor of the Assembly’s resolution for further action.
