At least 10 people were killed and seven others injured in a suicide bombing at a busy fish market in Konduga Local Government Area of Borno State on Friday night.
The attack, believed to have been carried out by a Boko Haram operative disguised as a civilian, occurred when the assailant detonated an explosive device inside the crowded market.
Security analyst Zagazola Makama disclosed the incident in a post on X, confirming that the bomber also died in the explosion.
“Troops of the Nigerian Army and emergency response teams responded swiftly, evacuating the injured to a nearby medical facility for urgent care,” Makama said.
He added that the area has been cordoned off by security personnel to prevent further attacks.
