The Lucky Guy (TLG) Youth Movement brought together youth leaders and representatives from across the Akoko region for its monthly rotational meeting, which was successfully held in Akoko South West Local Government Area.
The gathering was convened by Hon. Prince Timothy Korede, TLG Coordinator for Akoko South East and Special Assistant to the Governor on Mobilization, in collaboration with his fellow coordinators from Akoko South West, North East, and North West.
The meeting received full endorsement from the TLG State Executive, under the leadership of the State Director General, Hon. Suleiman Murtala, a distinguished indigene of the Akoko area.

In his welcome address, Comrade Aliu Joseph, who heads TLG in Akoko South West, expressed appreciation for the opportunity to host the event.
He highlighted the commitment of the local chapter and presented a report on recent engagements between zonal representatives and state executives, with discussions centered on increasing youth participation in governance.
Hon. Prince Korede briefed attendees on the outcome of a recent interactive session between the Governor and TLG coordinators from all 18 LGAs in the state.
He emphasized the Governor’s growing interest in youth inclusion and applauded His Excellency, Hon. Dr. Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, for his record-setting appointment of over 300 Special Assistants and Senior Special Assistants—a first in the history of Ondo State.
During the interactive session of the meeting, participants praised the administration’s youth-friendly policies, including the appointment of young commissioners and the recent recruitment initiatives carried out by Ondo SUBEB and TESCOM, which have created employment opportunities for many young people in the state.
A major issue raised during deliberations was the deteriorating condition of the Epinmi–Simerin–Uba–Ugbe road.
The youth leaders emphasized the road’s strategic role in connecting three Akoko LGAs and called on the state government to urgently prioritize its rehabilitation to enhance economic activities and social cohesion in the region.
The meeting wrapped up with words of appreciation to individuals whose support helped make the event a success.
Special acknowledgments were extended to Rt. Hon. Olabimtan, Hon. Olutayo Victor (Daddy Billion), Hon. Ayo Ajana (Chairman, Akoko South West), Hon. Kolawole Babatunde (Amechi), Hon.
