Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State has announced the appointment of Hon. Adeyinka Kazim Adeniyi, popularly known as Bibire, as the new Deputy Chief of Staff.
The appointment follows the resignation of Hon. Fola Sunday Oyekunle, who stepped down after emerging as the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate for the Ibadan North Federal Constituency by-election slated for August 16, 2025.
The announcement was contained in a letter signed by the Governor’s Chief of Staff, Otunba Segun Ogunwuyi.
In a related move, Governor Makinde approved the dissolution of the board of the Shooting Stars Sports Club (3SC) and named Hon. Taiwo Lekan Salami as the club’s new chairman.
Further appointments include Hon. Kabiru Salami, a retired police officer, as Executive Assistant on Security Coordination, and Hon. Waheed Adeniyi as Chairman of the Oyo State Waste Management Authority.
The governor congratulated the new appointees and urged them to see their roles as an opportunity to serve the people of Oyo State with dedication and integrity.
