Governor Dikko Radda of Katsina State has announced that the late former President Muhammadu Buhari will be laid to rest on Tuesday in his hometown, Daura, located in the Daura Local Government Area.
Speaking during a press briefing at the Government House in Katsina on Monday, Governor Radda disclosed that arrangements had been concluded with the late president’s family and associates in London.
“The burial arrangement for our father, the late president who passed away yesterday in a London hospital, has been finalised.
His body will arrive in Katsina by 12 noon tomorrow, and the burial will take place in Daura at around 2 p.m.,” he said.
The governor extended condolences to Buhari’s family, the people of Katsina State, and Nigerians at large, particularly President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
“On behalf of myself, the people, and the government of Katsina State, I offer our heartfelt condolences to the family and to all Nigerians. May Almighty Allah grant us the strength to bear this loss,” he added.
