The Governor of Ondo State, Dr Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, has said that his administration will continue to offer needed support and provide conducive environment for small and medium scale businesses to thrive in the State.

The Governor stated this on Friday, August 1, 2025, when he received two business owners in Ondo State who recently won the National Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) awards, hosted by the Presidency, in Abuja.

The awardees are Engr. Emmanuel Adewumi of Denki Wires and Cables, Akure, who won the Award of Excellence in Manufacturing and Mr. Femi Olufunmiloye of Lafbart Innovations & Consulting Ltd, Akure, who won the FIRS Award of Excellence in Tax Compliance.

The Governor congratulated the two awardees for showcasing the State at the national level, commending their business acumen and integrity.

The awardees were led on the visit to the Governor at the Government House by the Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Youth Empowerment and Job Creation, Orioye Gbayisemore.

Governor Aiyedatiwa, who said his administration disbursed over N220m support to micro and small businesses last year, promised to support MSMEs in the state with patronage.

Ondo State is scheduled to host the 7th Expanded National MSME Clinic in Akure on Tuesday, August 5, 2025, which is expected to be attended by Vice President Kashim Shettima.
