Residents of Ore, headquarters of Odigbo Local Government Area of Ondo State, were thrown into panic after a motorcyclist, identified as Isah Ibrahim, was discovered dead inside a well behind the stadium along Okitipupa Road.
Witnesses said Ibrahim was attacked by unidentified assailants who reportedly killed him and made away with his red Bajaj motorcycle. His body was later dumped in the well.
A resident, who spoke on condition of anonymity, said the victim had conveyed a passenger to the area before he was ambushed. “The assailants allegedly killed him and threw his body into the well.
It is suspected to be a case of motorcycle snatching, which has become rampant in the community,” the source said.
A security operative confirmed the incident, adding that investigations have commenced to track down those responsible.
