A staff member of the Federal Medical Centre (FMC), Owo, Pastor Ayodeji Akesinro, who was abducted two days ago, has been rescued.

Akesinro, who also serves as a pastor with the Redeemed Christian Church of God, was seized from his residence at Upenme in Owo Local Government Area of Ondo State on Thursday evening.

Confirming his release, a labour leader said details of the rescue operation remain sketchy but expressed gratitude for his safe return.

“We are glad to announce the safe release of our colleague, Pastor (MLS) Akesinro Ayodeji, who was abducted in Owo. We give glory to God Almighty and sincerely appreciate the security agencies, government authorities, colleagues, friends, and well-wishers whose prayers, efforts, and support made this possible,” the labour leader stated.
