The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) in Ondo State has recovered an iPhone 16 Pro Max valued at over ₦1 million during a routine patrol in Akure.

The Sector Commander, Dr. Samuel Ibitoye, disclosed this on Thursday while addressing journalists in Akure.

According to Ibitoye, the device was found around 9 a.m. on Tuesday near Best Solution Polytechnic along the Ondo Road axis of the state capital.

He said the patrol team discovered the phone while carrying out their regular duties and immediately reported the recovery to the command headquarters.

“I am informing the public that, as always, the FRSC is an institution known for integrity and transparency.

Our team recovered an iPhone 16 Pro Max worth about a million naira near Best Solution Polytechnic on Tuesday morning,” he said.

The sector commander urged anyone who might have misplaced a phone in that area to visit the FRSC headquarters along the Akure–Ilesa Highway with proof of ownership.

He assured that the Corps remains committed to upholding honesty and professionalism in all its operations
