The Osun State Police Command has begun a search for a 15-year-old boy, Oladosun Abdulmalik, who was declared missing in the Ilobu area of the state.

The command, in a statement on Tuesday by its spokesperson, SP Abiodun Ojelabi, said the teenager left his home in the Ilo Grammar School area on November 6, 2025, and has not returned since.

Ojelabi appealed to members of the public with useful information on Abdulmalik’s whereabouts to contact the nearest police station.

“This is to inform the general public that the male person whose photograph is shown left home since 06/11/2025 to an unknown destination and till now, he has not returned home nor been seen,” the statement read in part.

The police described Abdulmalik as dark in complexion, about five feet tall, without any tribal marks, and fluent in Yoruba.

Ojelabi added that efforts are ongoing to locate the missing boy and reunite him with his family.

In a related development, the command had in October sought public assistance in identifying a dumb man found wandering around the Adelola area of Modakeke.

The police urged anyone who recognises the man or knows his relatives to contact the nearest station.
