The Presidency has said the identities of terrorists and their sponsors will be made known to Nigerians in the coming days as part of ongoing counterterrorism efforts.
Special Adviser to President Bola Tinubu on Policy Communication, Daniel Bwala, gave the indication during a Sunday interview on Television Continental (TVC).
Bwala said the Federal Government was already taking decisive steps to strengthen national security, adding that the impact of these measures would soon become evident.
He noted that terrorism had assumed a global dimension, stressing that countries around the world were increasingly required to collaborate with Nigeria in tackling the menace.
According to him, the challenge became a worldwide concern after the September 11, 2001 attack on the World Trade Center in the United States.
Bwala explained that every region affected by terrorism becomes a shared concern for the international community, which is why Nigeria continues to seek greater global cooperation in restoring security.
“They were in the Middle East, and gradually they are coming towards the Sahel to create a hub of terrorism.
That is why the demand is now on the world governments to see how they can cooperate with Nigeria.
“At home, the government is making far-reaching decisions, and in the coming days we will know who the terrorists and their financiers are,” he said.
