A late-night bandit attack on Pindiga town in Akko Local Government Area of Gombe State has thrown the community into grief, leaving two family members dead and others abducted.

As reported by Daily Post The assailants reportedly stormed a private residence under the cover of darkness, killing Prince Yusuf Derdoski and his pregnant sister, while whisking away two other relatives.

A security analyst in the Northwest, Bakatsine, who disclosed the incident in a post on X on Sunday, described the development as tragic and deeply unsettling.

He said the violent raid has plunged Pindiga into mourning and renewed anxiety among residents, amid concerns over a spate of security breaches in parts of the state.

Bakatsine noted that the killings have reignited fears over the worsening security situation in Gombe, where several communities have complained of repeated attacks and inadequate protection.

The incident, he added, has also raised questions about the effectiveness of ongoing security operations and the capacity of law enforcement agencies to prevent recurring assaults on vulnerable towns.

“Given the recurring security breaches in parts of Gombe State, how are security agencies reassessing intelligence gathering and rapid response mechanisms to protect vulnerable communities like Pindiga?” he asked.

The attack occurred as the Federal Government reiterated that it is working in collaboration with the United States to crush terrorism and violent crimes across the country.
