Nigerian social media influencer and TikTok sensation, Habeeb Hamzat, popularly known as Peller, narrowly escaped a fire at his Lagos residence on Saturday.

In an Instagram post, Peller shared a video showing flames engulfing his generator in the early hours of the morning.

The influencer, visibly distressed in the footage, called for help as he and others tried to extinguish the blaze using buckets of water.

The fire was eventually brought under control, leaving the house and its occupants unharmed.

However, the generator was completely destroyed. Fans and followers took to social media to express relief, praising the quick response and good fortune that prevented a greater disaster.

The incident follows months after Peller survived a frightening episode on the Lekki–Epe Expressway. In a widely circulated livestream, he was seen driving his Mercedes-Benz in an emotional state. The broadcast, titled “RIP Peller,” sparked concern as he appeared agitated during a phone conversation, reportedly involving his girlfriend, before crashing into a roadside object.

The Lagos fire incident has since reignited discussions on home safety and emergency preparedness, with viewers urging caution around generators and electrical appliances.
