Ambassador Akintunde Akintayo, a House of Assembly aspirant for Ile-Oluji/Okeigbo State Constituency under the All Progressives Congress (APC), has congratulated the Governor of Ondo State, Lucky Aiyedatiwa, on his one-year anniversary in office, describing his administration as “purpose-driven, people-oriented and development-focused.”
In a congratulatory message released to mark the governor’s first year in office, Akintayo commended Aiyedatiwa for what he termed “remarkable strides” across key sectors of the state’s economy, including infrastructure, education, healthcare and workers’ welfare.
According to him, Governor Aiyedatiwa’s leadership has brought renewed hope and stability to Ondo State, noting that several road construction and rehabilitation projects across the three senatorial districts have improved connectivity, boosted local commerce and eased transportation challenges for residents. He also applauded the administration’s investments in public schools and health facilities, stating that the interventions have strengthened service delivery and improved access to quality education and healthcare for citizens.
“Within one year, Your Excellency has demonstrated commitment to inclusive governance and sustainable development. The visible infrastructural upgrades, prompt attention to workers’ welfare and strategic economic initiatives are clear indicators that Ondo State is on the path of progress,” Akintayo stated.
The APC aspirant further highlighted the governor’s focus on youth empowerment and support for small and medium-scale enterprises, emphasizing that such policies have stimulated economic activities and created opportunities for young people across the state.
Akintayo reaffirmed his loyalty to the APC and pledged continued support for the Aiyedatiwa-led administration, expressing confidence that the governor’s vision would further reposition Ondo State as one of the leading states in the South-West region.
While celebrating the governor’s milestone, Akintayo also reflected on his own contributions to the development of Ile-Oluji/Okeigbo State Constituency. Over the years, he has provided financial support to market women to boost their businesses, offered assistance to students through educational support initiatives, and facilitated community-based interventions aimed at improving livelihoods.
Residents of the constituency have acknowledged his grassroots engagement and consistent outreach, particularly in empowering traders and supporting young scholars to pursue their academic goals.
Akintayo assured constituents that his aspiration to represent Ile-Oluji/Okeigbo in the State House of Assembly is driven by a genuine desire to complement the developmental efforts of Governor Aiyedatiwa at the grassroots level.
“As we celebrate one year of impactful leadership under Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa, I remain committed to advancing policies and programmes that will deepen development in our constituency and across Ondo State,” he added.
The congratulatory message concluded with prayers for continued wisdom, strength and success for the governor as he continues to steer the affairs of Ondo State toward greater prosperity.
