Operatives of the Ondo State Security Network Agency, also known as Amotekun, have secured the release of five persons abducted in separate incidents during overnight operations in Akure South Local Government Area.

The Corps Commander, Adetunji Adeleye, disclosed this on Saturday, noting that the successful missions were carried out by the agency’s operatives in response to distress calls.

He explained that a middle-aged man and his teenage son were kidnapped at Pelebe along the Oda-Akure Road corridor between 7:30 p.m. and 8:00 p.m.

The commander said the victims were rescued around 1:00 a.m. after the Amotekun Rapid Response Team confronted the suspected kidnappers.

Adeleye also stated that three health personnel, who had earlier been abducted, regained their freedom at about 4:30 a.m. in a separate rescue effort.

According to him, the rescued individuals are currently undergoing medical care at an Amotekun medical facility.

He assured residents that the agency remains committed to protecting lives and property across the state.

Adeleye further urged the public to cooperate with security operatives by providing useful information that could aid in preventing crime.
