Ondo State Governor, Lucky Aiyedatiwa, has ordered the immediate disengagement of all political aides as part of efforts to reposition his administration for improved performance and effective service delivery.
The development was disclosed in a statement on Monday by the Chief Press Secretary to the governor, Ebenezer Adeniyan, who noted that the affected officials include all Senior Special Assistants and Special Assistants serving under the current administration.
The governor, while acknowledging their contributions to the growth of the state, appreciated their efforts and wished them success in their future pursuits.
According to the statement, the move is designed to strengthen governance structure and ensure better coordination across various levels of government activities.
It further revealed that the governor is set to appoint about 1,000 new aides from the 203 wards spanning the 18 local government areas of the state, a step aimed at enhancing grassroots participation and bringing renewed energy into the system.
