The Ondo State Government has commenced a major legal reform initiative aimed at converting all state laws into digital format and making them publicly accessible online.
The initiative was disclosed by the Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, Olukayode Ajulo, following a strategic engagement with the Managing Director of LawPavilion Business Solutions Limited, Ope Olugasa.
Ajulo said the project represents a significant shift in the state’s justice administration, stressing that it will improve transparency and make legal materials more accessible to the public and professionals.
Under the arrangement, all existing laws of Ondo State are expected to be digitised, stored electronically, and made available through an online platform for continuous public use.
He described the development as a turning point in legal access, saying it would reshape how citizens, lawyers, judges and policymakers interact with statutory materials in the state.
According to Olugasa, LawPavilion will handle the full digitisation process and provide technology infrastructure that will allow users to search and access laws with ease across different devices.
He noted that the project is driven by a commitment to modernise legal services, reduce dependence on printed law reports, and improve efficiency within the justice system.
Ajulo added that the initiative aligns with global standards in digital governance and would strengthen the rule of law while improving service delivery and reducing administrative costs in the long term.
