The All Progressives Congress has unveiled its timetable for the 2027 general elections, with its presidential primary scheduled to hold on May 15 and 16, 2026.
The schedule, signed by the party’s National Organising Secretary, Sulaiman Argungu, on Monday, also fixed April 25 to May 2, 2026, for the sale of nomination and expression of interest forms at the party’s national secretariat.
Submission of completed forms is expected to close on May 4, 2026.
In the fee structure released by the party, the presidential form was pegged at ₦100m, made up of ₦30m for expression of interest and ₦70m for nomination.
Governorship aspirants will pay ₦50m, while Senate, House of Representatives and State House of Assembly forms were fixed at ₦20m, ₦10m and ₦6m respectively.
The party disclosed that screening of aspirants will take place between May 6 and May 8, while the outcome of the exercise will be made public on May 11. Appeals will be entertained from May 12 to May 13.
According to the timetable, presidential primaries will be held on May 15 and 16, followed by governorship on May 18. Primaries for the House of Representatives and Senate are slated for May 20 and May 21 respectively, while State Assembly primaries will hold on May 23.
Appeals arising from all primary elections are expected to be concluded by May 25.
The party said all its primary elections would be conducted within an eight-day period.
It also announced concessions for female aspirants, youths and persons with disabilities, who are to pay only for expression of interest forms and 50 per cent of nomination fees.
The APC said the timetable aligns with constitutional provisions, the Electoral Act, and guidelines of the Independent National Electoral Commission.
