A former Senior Special Assistant to the Ondo State Governor on Research and Documentation, Hon. Ewatomilola Emiola Owoeye, has been appointed as Senior Legislative Aide to the President of the Nigerian Senate, Senator Godswill Akpabio.
Ewatomilola, who is a media practitioner, politician and entrepreneur, assumed her new role at the National Assembly last week.
Reacting to the development, Ewatomilola expressed gratitude for the opportunity to serve at the national level, describing the appointment as a call to greater responsibility.
“I return all glory to God Almighty for this privilege. This appointment is not just a personal achievement but an opportunity to contribute meaningfully to national development,” she said.
She also pledged to deploy her experience in governance and administration towards advancing policies that would positively impact Nigerians.
“I am committed to using this office to better the lives of our people and to support initiatives that promote good governance and inclusive growth,” Ewatomilola added.
Before her new role, Ewatomilola served under Ondo State Governor, Dr. Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, where she handled research and documentation, contributing to policy formulation and administrative processes.
Ewatomilola thanked Governor Aiyedatiwa for the opportunity given her to work as a senior aide under the OUR EASE administration between 2024 and 2026.
