Prominent leaders of the All Progressives Congress in Ondo State have called on members of the party to put aside their differences and work together in preparation for the 2027 general elections, saying unity remains the party’s greatest strength.
The appeal was made at a stakeholders’ meeting, where party faithful stressed that internal cohesion and reconciliation among aggrieved members were necessary to sustain the APC’s dominance in the state and strengthen President Bola Tinubu’s chances of securing re-election.
The leaders noted that while the APC had continued to record electoral victories in Ondo State, sustaining such success would depend largely on the willingness of members to place the party’s collective interest above personal ambitions.
They urged party executives, elected officials and political appointees to intensify efforts at reconciling aggrieved members and fostering cooperation across all levels of the party structure.
According to the stakeholders, a united APC would be better positioned to mobilise supporters, attract new members and improve voter participation ahead of the next general election.
They also advised aspirants seeking elective offices to embrace issue-based campaigns and avoid actions capable of creating divisions within the party, warning that internal disputes could weaken its electoral prospects.
The forum reaffirmed its confidence in the APC leadership and expressed optimism that sustained dialogue, mutual respect and inclusiveness would further consolidate the party ahead of the 2027 polls.
The stakeholders pledged their commitment to working together to strengthen the APC’s grassroots structures, safeguard its electoral fortunes and ensure the party records another resounding victory in Ondo State and across the country in 2027.
