The Kano State Police Command has apprehended two suspected car thieves and recovered two stolen vehicles from them.
In a statement shared on its X handle, the command revealed that its Special Intervention Squad (SIS) intercepted the suspects and retrieved the stolen cars. During interrogation, the suspects admitted to stealing the vehicles from Nassarawa State.
The police confirmed that an investigation is ongoing, and the recovered vehicles will be returned to their rightful owners. The stolen cars include a Honda Jazz with plate number SUL-173MQ (Niger State) and a Pontiac Vibe with plate number SUL-156SM (Niger State).
According to the command, the operation aligns with the directive of the Inspector-General of Police, Kayode Egbetokun, to maintain round-the-clock patrols and enhance security in the region.
