The Nigeria Police Force has declared one Lillian Gold, a 42-year-old woman from Edo State, wanted over alleged criminal conspiracy, murder, arson, and incitement of violence against the police.
The suspect is said to be connected to the December 3, 2022, attack on the Ogida Police Station in Benin City, which led to the death of a police officer and the destruction of the station.
According to a police gazette made available by the Command’s Public Relations Officer, DSP Chidi Nwabuzor, Gold allegedly played a major role in mobilising and inciting the mob that carried out the attack.
The police have urged members of the public to assist in tracking down the suspect.
She is described as being of black complexion, with brown eyes, black hair, and about 5 feet 2 inches tall. Her last known address is No. 7, Osamuyi Lane, Off Uwelu Road, Benin City.
The Command appealed to anyone with useful information on her whereabouts to report to the nearest police station or contact the Edo State Police Command on 07071484195.
