The City Boy Movement in Ile-Oluji/Okeigbo Local Government Area of Ondo State has inaugurated its local government executives and ward coordinators in a move aimed at reinforcing its grassroots network.
The event, held on May 1, 2026, marked a strategic step by the movement to enhance coordination and strengthen its presence across the council area.
The inauguration ceremony was presided over by the local government coordinator, Hon. Idowu Samson Olufemi, who charged the newly appointed officials to demonstrate commitment and diligence in discharging their responsibilities.
He emphasised the need for effective grassroots mobilisation and urged them to build solid organisational structures capable of driving the movement’s objectives.
“The success of this movement at the grassroots depends on your dedication and ability to organise effectively within your various wards,” he said.
The newly inaugurated executives include Idowu Samson Olufemi as Coordinator, Jimoh Muritala as Assistant Coordinator, and Taiwo Adeniyi Emmanuel as General Secretary.
Others are Bamidele Elizabeth as Assistant Secretary, Ayomide Adetosoye as Publicity Secretary, Eyinola Bunmi as Treasurer, and Bakare Femi as Organising Secretary.
Also appointed are Adesanu Seun as Financial Secretary, Adedinni Adewumi as Youth Coordinator, Hon. Segun Akinsowon as Movement Adviser, Abayomi Ayantola Deborah as Women Coordinator, Onayemi Eunice as Director of Student Mobilisation, Ogundare Dorcas as Welfare Director, and Abidakun Samuel as Chief of Staff.
Ward coordinators were also unveiled for the ten wards in the local government, including Akinyugha Bamikole for Ward 1, Ajulo Kolawole for Ward 2, and Adedayo Adedapo Johnson for Ward 3, among others.
Olufemi expressed confidence in the capacity of the appointees to deliver on their mandates and contribute to the growth and consolidation of the movement in Ondo State.
