There was tension in Ilu-Abo community in Akure North Local Government Area of Ondo State on Sunday evening after suspected gunmen abducted a staff member of the council, Mr. Samson Gbenga Sanni.
Sanni, popularly known as “Timber,” was reportedly whisked away at about 7:10 p.m. in the Agbelere area shortly after returning home.
Eyewitnesses said the attackers, said to be about three in number, emerged from a nearby bush and forcibly took the victim away in front of his residence.
Sources within the community disclosed that the operation was swift, leaving residents in shock as the gunmen escaped with the victim to an unknown destination.
