The Academic Staff Union of Universities has issued a 21-day ultimatum to the federal and state governments to address all the “outstanding issues” hindering the development of the nation’s universities. The police in Katsina State have arrested one Halilu Yusuf, 21, for allegedly kidnapping a six-year-old boy. The police spokesman, ASP Abubakar Aliyu, disclosed this while briefing journalists on Wednesday in Katsina. A 62-year-old man, Sunday Adesoye, was arraigned in a Chief Magistrates’ Court in Ado-Ekiti on Wednesday for allegedly stealing four bottles of cousins red wine worth N27,000 . The police charged Adesoye whose address was not provided with theft. He, however, pleaded not guilty to the charge.
