The Association of Table Water Producers (ATWAP) says it will shut down and suspend production in Enugu due to the unbearable high cost of production. The association announced this in a statement by its chairman in Enugu, Tony Edike, and secretary, Clems Nwamadi, on Sunday. The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) has intercepted 7,345.209 kilogrammes of illicit drugs and substances worth N125.71 million in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT). The NDLEA commander in the territory, Kabir Tsakuwa, said in an interview with journalists on Sunday in Abuja that the illicit drugs were intercepted in 2023. Mr Tsakuwa named the various drugs intercepted as marijuana, cocaine, diazepam, methamphetamine, rohypnol, tramadol, pentazocine, heroin, megalodon, and ecstasy, among others.
