Some aggrieved commercial motorcycle operators in the Federal Capital Territory protested against the impounding of their motorcycles on Monday morning. The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control has confirmed 157 cases of monkeypox across 26 states in the country. The NCDC disclosed this in its latest monkeypox situation report for week 30. Monkeypox is a rare viral zoonotic infectious disease transmitted from animals to humans that occur sporadically, primarily in remote villages of Central and West Africa near tropical rainforests. NIGERIA is at the risk of higher inflationary pressure as the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) lending to the Federal Government through ‘Ways and Means Advances’ has risen to N19. 9 trillion as of June 2022. The men of the Ondo State Security Network Agency, also known as Amotekun Corps, have intercepted a truck that conveyed about 151 persons who were suspected to invaders.
