The Lagos state police command has found a teenage boy who claimed to have just arrived from Kampala, Ugandan, with his sister. In a statement on his official X handle on Saturday, the command’s public relations officer, Benjamin Hundeyin, said the boy has been in their custody since May 23, 2024. The naira on Tuesday closed the month of April on a good footing as it gained N28.15 at the official market, trading at N1,390.96 to the dollar. The Ikeja branch of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) has given the federal government and electricity distribution companies (Discos) a seven-day ultimatum to reverse the old electricity tariff or face a lawsuit. The Magistrates’ Court in Enugu, on Tuesday, arraigned Emeka Edoh, a deputy director in the Enugu State Water Corporation, for allegedly defrauding some Enugu residents of N150,000.
