An Akure-based lawyer, Femi Emodamori, has alleged that the deputy governor of Ondo State, Agboola Ajayi, submitted falsified certificates to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) for the governorship election coming up in the state on October 10. Mr Ajayi is the candidate of the Zenith Labour Party(ZLP) in the election. The lawyer is asking INEC to publish the particulars of Mr Ajayi within seven days or he would compel it through the courts to do so. The Federal Government has assured religious bodies in the country that the Companies and Allied Matters Act 2020 (CAMA) does not target churches, mosques and other religious bodies, as had been wrongly portrayed. A former National Chairman of the All Progressives Congresses, APC, Mr. Adams Oshiomhole has said that the auto crash involving his convoy was an alleged assassination attempt on his life. The former Governor of Edo State made the allegation in a statement on Wednesday by his Media Aide,  Mr. Victor Oshioke. At least two police officers have been confirmed dead following a road accident involving the convoy of the former National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Adams Oshiomhole, at Oluku junction in Ovia North-East Local Government Area of Edo State. Two other people are said to have sustained critical injuries from the accident. The Chief of Army Staff (COAS), Lieutenant General Tukur Buratai, has come to the aid of an 85-year-old ex-serviceman with a donation of a 3-bedroom house after being evicted from his residence by the Kaduna State Government. The Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) has kicked against the increment of electricity tariff, saying it is a plan to inflict further pain on Nigerians at a time of great economic distress. The management of Media Trust Ltd, publishers of Daily Trust Newspapers, has not been served with the letter by a former Minister of Aviation, Femi Fani-Kayode, demanding N6bn damages over an alleged defamatory publication in the newspaper. The Speaker of the House of Representatives, Femi Gbajabiamila, on Tuesday got President Muhammadu Buhari’s approval to embark on “legislative diplomacy” to Ghana to try to resolve the crisis between Nigeria and the West African neighbour.
