Family announces burial programme for Justice Gbolagunte

The family of Justice Adegboye Ayinla Gbolagunte, a former Judge of the Oyo State High Court, has released the funeral programme for the late jurist.

Justice Gbolagunte passed away on June 24, 2024.

In a statement made available to PUNCH Online on Sunday, the eldest son of the deceased and a Digital Technologist specializing in Network Communications, Oladiran Gbolagunte, unveiled the weeklong programme.

The funeral rites will commence with a Special Valedictory Court Session on Monday, July 22, 2024, at the Oyo State High Court, Ring Road, Ibadan, starting at 10am.

On Tuesday, July 23, there will be a Commendation Service at New Estate Baptist Church, 57, Adisa Bashua Street, Surulere, Lagos State from 5pm.

This will be followed by a Service of Songs from 5pm on Thursday, July 25 at Felicia Hall, Jogor Centre, Liberty Road, Ibadan.

“A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, July 26, 2024 at the New Reservation Area Baptist Church, Familusi Avenue, Iyangaku, Ibadan from 10am, after which his remains will be interred at a private ceremony by the family,” the statement said.

Justice Gbolagunte is survived by his wife, Wuraola, and three children: Oladiran, a Digital Technologist; Oladoyin, a lawyer and accountant; and Oladotun, also a lawyer.

He also leaves behind grandchildren, an aged mother, siblings, nephews, nieces, and cousins.
