Nigerian cyclist and adventurer Emmanuel Myam, popularly known as Emmiwuks, has reached Ghana as part of his daring solo bicycle journey from Lagos to the United States.

The Benue State native set off on July 1, navigating through Benin Republic and Togo before arriving in Ghana—completing the trek across three West African nations in just 10 days.

Emmiwuks first gained attention in 2022 when he cycled from Makurdi to Lagos to meet music star Davido.

He says his current mission is driven by past personal struggles and a near-death experience in 2023.

More than just an endurance challenge, the journey—tagged Project NIG2USA—is aimed at raising awareness and support for orphaned and displaced children affected by violence and conflict in Africa.

Sharing photos from Ghana on Instagram on Wednesday, he wrote, “Day 10. Welcome to Ghana, the land of warmth, rhythm, and strength.

A new country, a new chapter, same mission—raising a voice for the displaced and forgotten across Africa.”

“Ghana, let’s ride this journey together. From Nigeria to the world, the movement is alive. Naija no dey carry last,” he added.

Earlier in his trip, Emmiwuks stopped in Benin Republic to visit an orphanage, where he donated supplies funded by supporters.

He described the visit as deeply moving and a reminder of the mission’s true purpose.

“Seeing those children reminded me of the displaced people across Africa suffering in silence because of insecurity,” he wrote. “This journey isn’t just about cycling—it’s about giving them a voice. Every mile is for them.”

Emmiwuks is calling on the public to support his cause by spreading the word and joining the movement. “Lend your voice. Share the story. Let’s ride this together. Stay strong, kids—I’ll be back for you soon,” he said.
