Ahead of the forthcoming Senatorial Primary Election the Ondo North Senator, Ipinsagba received royal blessings and endorsements for second term from the Olukare of Ikare-Akoko, Oba Saliu Akadiri Momoh IV.
The Federal lawmaker received the royal blessings during a visit to the monarch’s palace in Ikare in Akoko North East Local Government Area of Ondo State.
Ipinsagba, who visited the palace alongside his supporters and political associates, was warmly received by the traditional ruler, who prayed for the success of the senator’s second term ambition ahead of the APC senatorial primary.
Speaking during the visit, the monarch commended the lawmaker for his contributions to the development of the district and wished him victory in the forthcoming exercise.
The senator also secured endorsements from prominent leaders, as the APC in Akoko North East LG under the leadership of Hon. Imam Saliu Mumuni Olanrewaju, all 13 Ward Chairmen , Ward excos and all the party statutory leaders unanimously backed his re-election bid ahead of the party’s primary.
Student unions across tertiary institutions within Ondo North Senatorial District equally declared support for the senator, citing his empowerment programmes and educational interventions across the district.
Responding, Ipinsagba appreciated the constituents and party members for their continued support, pledging to embark on more developmental projects if re-elected for another term in the Senate.
“I am grateful for the love and support from our people. I remain committed to attracting more projects and programmes that will improve the lives of our people across the six local government areas in Ondo North,” he said.
The senator also pledged to build a new APC secretariat for Akoko North East Local Government and promised to construct a recreational centre in Ikare-Akoko to promote social activities among residents.
At the event, Ipinsagba declared open his bursary programme for students, announcing that application forms would be made available at his senatorial office in Ikare-Akoko.
As part of his tour, the lawmaker inspected the ongoing Oja-Oba modern market project located within the Olukare palace vicinity and also visited the Ikare Civic Centre, which is set for commissioning.
The senator added that several developmental projects had already been executed in five other local government areas within the senatorial district, assuring constituents that he would continue to initiate life-changing programmes for the people.
