The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) says 1,042 patrol vehicles have been deployed to promptly remove obstructions on highways across the country before, during and after Easter. FRSC’s spokesman, Jonas Agwu, said in a statement on Wednesday in Abuja that this would help ease movements on the highways. A businessman, Michael Chibuzo, was on Wednesday arraigned by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission for alleged issuance of N8.5m dud cheque. EFCC charged Chibuzo, alongside his firm, Two Stars Enterprise Ltd., at a Kaduna High Court, with issuance of dud cheque and fraud. The National Agency for Food, Drugs Administration and Control has seized banned pharmaceutical products worth millions of naira in the commercial city of Onitsha, Anambra State, during a raid. The agency also burst factories manufacturing fake alcoholic beverages in Enugu and Imo states during the month.
