On Wednesday, Adedayo Kolawole, 36, a filling station manager, was arraigned before an Iyaganku Magistrate’s Court in Ibadan for stealing N6 million belonging to the station. Mr Kolawole, the manager of Taoliyya Filling Station, Dalute on Akala expressway, Ibadan, was charged with theft and pleaded not guilty. The prosecutor, Insp Olalekan Adegbite, told the court that Mr Kolawole committed the offence between March 2023 and March 25, 2024. The Nigerian Navy says it intercepted a drug cartel’s attempt to smuggle 193 bags of cannabis sativa weighing 7,443kg into Nigeria. The interception was made through the waterways off the Badagry coast in Lagos. Addressing journalists in Lagos, Navy Commander, Taiye Oladejo, said the arrest was made on March 16, while en route on its ship, NNS Beecroft, Apapa, Vanguard newspaper reported on Tuesday. The Ikeja Chief Magistrates’ Court in Lagos on Wednesday remanded a 39-year-old man, Chibuike Ajunwa, in Kirikiri prison custody for defiling a seven-year-old girl. Chief magistrate E.
