The Ondo State chapter of the All Progressives Congress has called on dissatisfied House of Representatives aspirants to channel their grievances through the party’s appeal mechanism following the conduct of its primaries.
The party said its Primary Appeal Committee had commenced sitting at the APC State Secretariat on Olu Obasanjo Road, Akure, to receive and review complaints from aggrieved contestants.
According to a statement released on Saturday by the party’s State Secretary, Alex Kalejaye, the committee was constituted to guarantee justice, transparency and equal treatment for all aspirants involved in the exercise.
The APC encouraged those with complaints to appear before the panel and formally present their cases for consideration.
The statement added that members of the committee would remain at the secretariat until all petitions submitted by aspirants had been addressed.
The party noted that the move formed part of efforts to strengthen internal democracy and maintain harmony among members after concerns emerged over aspects of the primary process.
