The Bauchi State Police Command has arrested one Abubakar Talba, a 37-year-old from Hausari Dandal, Borno State, for abduction and sodomy. The Ministry of Youth Development is working on a new training program similar to the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) for graduates of the Nigeria Certificate in Education (NCE). Mr. Olawande Wisdom, the Minister of State for Youth Development, announced this initiative during the opening of the BEMORE OYO 2024 Summer Bootcamp in Ibadan on Monday. Gunmen have abducted a director of the Rivers State Board of Internal Revenue Service, identified as Aribibia Fubara. Fubara was said to have been abducted by the gunmen who reportedly came through the Okirika Waterfront in a speedboat to the Marine Base axis of Port Harcourt, the state capital. The armen men who were about six in number had stormed the area in a commando style and shot indiscriminately into the air. 13-year-old girl has been reportedly raped to death allegedly by local miners at the Tipper Garage area in Gwagwalada Area Council of the Federal Capital Territory.
